Are there any fees associated with the VNB Debit Card?
No. There is no sign-up or annual fee for the VNB Debit Card. Transactions at VNB ATMs and cash dispensers are free. ATMs that are not operated by VNB may apply a surcharge to your transaction; this is charged by the company that owns the ATM, not by Virginia National Bank. Visa® does not allow merchants to charge you a fee for using the card for signature transactions.
How do I activate my VNB Debit Card?
Your VNB Debit Card can be activated by completing a PIN transaction, by calling 1.877.366.3862, or at any ATM.
Can I get cash back on my VNB Debit Card?
Many merchants, such as grocery stores, will allow you to take "cash back" when making a check card purchase. They will only allow this with PIN-based transactions, for obvious security reasons. The neat thing about getting cash back is that doing this will save you a trip to an ATM and allow you to avoid possible surcharge fees.

How do I inform VNB of a lost or stolen Debit Card?
If your VNB Debit Card has been lost or stolen, please notify us immediately.
Call toll-free: 1.877.366.3862
Once you report your VNB Debit Card as lost or stolen, it will take 7 to 10 business days to receive a new card in the mail.
For your protection, the account number on the face of your card will change. Once you receive your new VNB Debit Card, remember to notify merchants who automatically debit your account that you have a new account number.
Can I use my VNB Debit Card internationally?
In most cases, yes. VNB Debit Cards will not work in Turkey or Romania. We strongly recommend that you consider testing your card and familiarizing yourself with ATM and Debit Card rules and restrictions before you leave the country. Credit cards are always preferable to check/debit cards, as there is no risk of your account being wiped out.
